Fondant covered cakes are easy to transport as they are not susceptible to temperature changes. Your cake can either be delivered and set up at your venue, or can be supplied in a transportable box for you to collect. Your cake should fit into any standard boot, and this is preferable to traveling with it on a car seat or on a lap. |

Fruit cake lasts for months, but if any of the tiers are sponge-based the cake should be stored in a cool place before the reception. Never refrigerate as the icing will spoil. After the wedding store fruit cake in an air-tight container for up to a year. Sponge-based tiers can be frozen for up to six months. |

Small slices are presented on a tray, with napkins, usually as guests are served coffee. The napkins are generally used by the guests to store the cake safely
in a handbag until it can be discreetly disposed of when they get home. |
